The Perfect Imperfection
Our little Abby was a beautiful tri-coloured Jack Russell Terrier. She had a huge heart and a lot of love. Abby was one of a pack of five dogs. She and her siblings were the joys of our family. Sadly, in 2018, Abby was left alone as her siblings passed one by one due to old age and illnesses.
As much as she felt lonely being left the only dog, she put on a brave front and decided she would protect her human mum from heartache and pain. She loved her 'mumsy' and made sure she filled her days with smiles and cuddles.
Aside from all the anguish, that was also the year that Abby was diagnosed with third stage heart murmur .
In the time that ensued, Abby and 'mumsy' created a new daily routine. And of course, there was Jinxie and Dada.
Jinxie was a black stray cat whom Abby became smitten with and adopted as her own. Needless to say, a new hybrid of cat-dog now roams. More importantly though, there was Dada - a human dad who Abby fell deeply in love with and who became her mountain and she his 'little billy goat', as she would constantly climb onto his lap to sit on him. This was relationship that was unfortunately found at a late stage in her life.
Abby passed in July 2020 at the young age of 16. That big heart she had that was so full of love decided it was time for her to go. And so she did. And joined her siblings in that huge playground in heaven. With her passing was a sorrow that could not be filled. Hence in tribute to the little girl who loved life and loved food, and who taught us that everyday was a joy regardless of her personal discomfort and emotions, Abby's Imperfect Muffins & Pies came about. Little Abby was perfect in her Imperfection.
We hope you enjoy the food. They were some of her favourites.
